At Nanny’s Student Transportation, safety isn’t just a priority, it’s our promise.
We have comprehensive emergency protocols designed to keep every child protected, parents informed, and our team ready to act quickly when it matters most.
1. Driver Training & Readiness
All drivers are:
Background-checked and fingerprinted
Certified in CPR and First Aid
Trained annually in emergency preparedness, de-escalation techniques, and incident reporting
2. Vehicle Safety Preparedness
Each van is equipped with:
First aid kit
Fire extinguisher
Emergency contact cards for every student
Thermal blankets and bottled water
3. Emergency Contact Process
For every student, we keep:
Parent/guardian contact information
At least one backup emergency contact
In an emergency, parents/guardians are contacted immediately, following the priority order provided.
4. Incident Reporting & Response
If an incident occurs:
Driver notifies dispatch immediately
Dispatch coordinates response and contacts parents as soon as it’s safe
A formal incident report is documented for review and improvement
5. Weather & Road Conditions
We monitor real-time weather alerts and road closures.
If hazardous conditions arise:
Parents are notified promptly of any delays, reroutes, or cancellations
Service adjustments are communicated clearly to minimize disruption
6. School Coordination
We work directly with partner schools to:
Align on pickup/drop-off protocols
Share emergency plans
Stay updated on school-based drills or events that may affect routes
7. Commitment to Care
In every situation, our team is trained to:
Remain calm and reassuring to students
Communicate clearly with families
Prioritize each child’s emotional and physical safety
