At Nanny’s Student Transportation, safety isn’t just a priority,  it’s our promise.
We have comprehensive emergency protocols designed to keep every child protected, parents informed, and our team ready to act quickly when it matters most.

🛡 1. Driver Training & Readiness

All drivers are:

  • Background-checked and fingerprinted

  • Certified in CPR and First Aid

  • Trained annually in emergency preparedness, de-escalation techniques, and incident reporting

🚐 2. Vehicle Safety Preparedness

Each van is equipped with:

  • First aid kit

  • Fire extinguisher

  • Emergency contact cards for every student

  • Thermal blankets and bottled water

📞 3. Emergency Contact Process

For every student, we keep:

  • Parent/guardian contact information

  • At least one backup emergency contact

In an emergency, parents/guardians are contacted immediately, following the priority order provided.

📋 4. Incident Reporting & Response

If an incident occurs:

  • Driver notifies dispatch immediately

  • Dispatch coordinates response and contacts parents as soon as it’s safe

  • A formal incident report is documented for review and improvement

🌦 5. Weather & Road Conditions

We monitor real-time weather alerts and road closures.
If hazardous conditions arise:

  • Parents are notified promptly of any delays, reroutes, or cancellations

  • Service adjustments are communicated clearly to minimize disruption

🏫 6. School Coordination

We work directly with partner schools to:

  • Align on pickup/drop-off protocols

  • Share emergency plans

  • Stay updated on school-based drills or events that may affect routes

❤️ 7. Commitment to Care

In every situation, our team is trained to:

  • Remain calm and reassuring to students

  • Communicate clearly with families

  • Prioritize each child’s emotional and physical safety
